Emilia Amaro earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from American University. Her area of focus is making mental health care equitable and accessible as well as the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy. She is currently a research assistant studying cross border healthcare research. Being a dual citizen in the United States and Mexico and having used both healthcare systems offers a unique perspective and interest in the current cross border research.
